Who operates this site?

ArchitectExams.com is operated by APECx LLC. It is an independent study site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCARB, USGBC, GBCI, or AIA.

What is free?

Without a pass you can use:

• A 10-question quiz for each ARE division and for LEED Green Associate
• The first 10 flashcards in each deck
• The opening audio track for each division
• The objective checklists
• The formula reference

Full exams, the rest of each flashcard deck, and the premium audio tracks require a 1-year pass and a login. Open them from the Dashboard after you buy.

What do I get with a pass?

The ARE 5.0 pass ($149) unlocks full exams for all six divisions (PcM, PjM, PA, PPD, PDD, and CE), the rest of each flashcard deck, the premium audio modules, study review matrices, and saved scores for 365 days.

The LEED Green Associate pass ($49) unlocks the full mock exam, the full flashcard deck, the premium audio tracks, domain notes, and saved scores for 365 days.

Both are one-time prices, not monthly subscriptions. The two passes are separate. Buying one does not include the other. After payment, open the Dashboard to reach the exams, decks, and audio for the pass you bought.

How long does access last?

Paid access lasts one year from the purchase date. A pass cannot be paused, frozen, or held. Unused days are not added back. When the year ends, the paid exams, locked cards, and premium audio close. Your account can remain, and the free quizzes, first 10 cards, opening audio, checklists, and formula reference stay available.

Where do I open what I bought?

Use Dashboard in the header, or go to account.html. A paid account shows the full exams, full decks, and audio for each active pass, plus jump links if you hold both. An unpaid account shows a buy link. Do not use the old division pages to look for paid content.

Are these official NCARB or GBCI questions?

No. These are original practice items. They are not retired exam questions and they do not copy official forms. Check the current ARE 5.0 Guidelines and the GBCI candidate handbook for objectives, timing, and item counts. Checklists on this site note the April 27, 2026 ARE wording changes, but the official guidelines control.

Will this make me pass?

No. A practice score is not an official result. A pass does not include a retake, a seat credit, or money back if you do not pass.

Do I need an account?

You can take a free 10-question quiz, flip the first 10 cards, and play the opening audio without paying. Saving scores and opening paid exams, decks, and audio require a free account. Log in before or after checkout so the year of access attaches to that account.

Can I share my login?

No. A pass is a personal license for one person. It cannot be moved to another email, coworker, or firm library. Sharing the password can close the account without a refund.

Can I buy one ARE division?

No. The ARE product is all six divisions in one pass. LEED Green Associate is a separate pass.

How do I pay?

Checkout is in U.S. dollars through Stripe. APECx LLC does not store your full card number. Access starts when the payment succeeds. You can buy without being logged in. Log in afterward with the same email so the Dashboard can show the pass.

What is the refund policy?

Sales are final. APECx LLC does not refund a pass and does not credit unused time. The only reversals are a duplicate charge, or a charge for which paid access never opens and cannot be fixed within 3 business days. NCARB, Prometric, and GBCI fees are not sold here. I paid and the exam is still locked. What do I do?

Log in, open the Dashboard, and reload. Confirm the success page sent you to account.html with the paid flag. If the pass is still missing after a few minutes, email contact@apecx.com with the account email, product (ARE or LEED), and purchase date.

Can I get a receipt or invoice?

Yes. Stripe emails a receipt. For a copy or a company invoice, email contact@apecx.com from the address on the order.

Do you offer firm or group seats?

Not right now. Each pass is for one candidate. A firm license that several people share is not allowed. For a multi-seat order, email contact@apecx.com before paying.
